Notre Dame Commits Go Off In Playoffs

Notre Dame quarterback commit Phil Jurkovec and Pine-Richland started the state playoffs with a 49-14 thrashing of Norwin on Friday night. Jurkovec threw for touchdowns of 17, 52, 30 and 19 yards and rushed for an 85-yard score. On the night, the five-star prospect had 232 passing yards and 113 rushing yards in three-quarters of action.
Entering the game, Jurkovec had completed 144 of 192 passes for 2,336 yards, 21 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also had added 583 yards and 14 touchdowns on just 67 carries.
Running back commit Markese Stepp rushed for 249 yards on 29 carries and four touchdowns in a 42-21 win in the second round of the Indiana State Playoffs.
