Three plays. That really was the difference between good and great for Notre Dame’s defense against Navy. One of them was actually not even a play that involved the defense.
Chris Finke’s fumble after forcing a three and out in the second quarter is the play I’m referring to. The other two plays were when the Irish were in a great position to make a play and failed to make a one on one tackle.
