Now that Signing Day is winding down, Notre Dame’s newest signees wanted to express a message to their parents.

Quarterback Phil Jurkovec:
“Thank you for all of the support and help throughout the recruiting process which was very time consuming for you. The most important thing you did for me was to allow me to choose the school that I wanted to go to and back my decision.”

Wide Receiver Kevin Austin Jr.:
“First off, I would like to thank both my parents for being such a great influence in my life. I would like to thank my mom for always pushing me to be the best I could be and always strive to the top. I would like to thank my dad for motivating me and guiding me to always outwork everyone to get where I wanted to be. Both my parents have instilled these traits in me which has made me the man I am today. The decisions I will make in my future, I just want to thank them.”

Wide Receiver Micah Jones:
“They both mean so much to me. They have put in time and money necessary to haul me around to all the camps and showcases I’ve been blessed to attend. They have taught me so much about life on and off the field. I couldn’t be more thankful! I love them so much.”

Defensive Tackle Ja’mion Franklin:
“My parents have been my backbone and number one support system in this whole process. No matter what occurred, all the traveling expenses and all the disappointment or good things that happened, they were tough through it all for me. I don’t know what I would do without them. Honestly, this whole process wouldn’t have been the same.”

Bo Bauer

Linebacker Bo Bauer:
“They mean everything to me I’m at the point where I am because of them. I love them so much, and every ounce of success I have comes from God and them.”

Linebacker Ovie Oghoufo:
“My parents have always been there. They’ve always put me ahead of themselves, and they’ve always sacrificed for me. Throughout this long and stressful process, they’ve been nothing but supportive of every decision I’ve made. I’m glad to finally put an end to this recruiting process and move to bigger things. To my lovely parents, thank you.”

Linebacker Shayne Simon:
“My parents have been with me throughout this whole process, and without them, this wouldn’t be possible. They have instilled in me the qualities that I need to become the best man, student, and athlete I can be in the future. They’ve stuck with me through good times and bad and have pushed me at times to work harder and achieve more. I love my parents to death, and I couldn’t be more proud to be their son.”

Defensive Back Houston Griffith:
“After my first offer in 8th grade, my parents told me if I keep working hard, more offers would come. I did what I was told, and everything has paid off. They helped me pick the best school for my future. That school is Notre Dame. Go Irish. Thanks, Mom and Dad.”

Defensive Back Paul Moala:
“My parents are my inspiration and motivation. They've sacrificed so much of their time and efforts for me to be where I am today, and I hope one day I can repay them. I am forever indebted to them, and they truly are my biggest blessings God has given me!”
