Zachary Teter‍ was blown away by Notre Dame before Saturday’s visit for the Blue-Gold Game even really started.

“Just being able to finally step onto a campus I’ve known all of my life, being introduced to it by my family, it was just so cool how everything just felt unique to that college,” the 2019 Florida offensive lineman said.

“The facilities were amazing to see as well and just the tradition. Everything had a purpose to it. It was just awesome to see.”

The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder from Lakeland, Fla., currently has offers from schools like Cal, Cincinnati, Temple and Cornell among others. He obviously enjoyed his trip to South Bend.

“It was a great visit,” he said. “It’s a great school with a great tradition and it was a really good visit.”

He had a chance to meet Irish offensive line coach Jeff Quinn and running backs coach Autry Denson, who recruits the state of Florida for Notre Dame.

“The running backs coach informed me he will definitely be down to see me in Florida,” Teter explained. “The OL coach said to keep grinding and hopefully he sees me back up.”

He was definitely struck by the fan support the Irish received during the spring game.

“Seeing the stadium filled that much for a spring game truly shows you what the team means to this community,” he said.

“It was a great game too, especially being able to see an offensive line as renowned as Notre Dame’s. To watch them perform was nice. It was a good game on both sides, offense and defense.”

After getting a chance to see Notre Dame for himself, Teter hopes to get the chance to return.

“It just depends,” he said. “It could go either way, hopefully it does.”

The Lake Gibson High School standout said he could possibly get back if Notre Dame were to end up offering him.

He recently took a visit out West to see Cal.

“It was a really good trip,” he said. “It was a really good trip.”

But he’s going to be off the road now until at least the summer.

“I’m not taking any more visits until my spring is over,” he said. “It’s time for me to refocus on my high school and get back to my team.”

He isn’t ready to start claiming any leaders from the schools that have extended offers already.

“All offers I have are on the table,” he said. “I’m not favoring one over the other, all are on the table.”

But he did say an offer from the Irish would “mean everything” to him.

“This school has been a part of my life since I can remember. Just getting that offer would be, I don’t know.”
