Notre Dame LAX Headed To Spain
Notre Dame’s season might have finished a few weeks ago, but the Irish will be back in action much sooner than later.
The Irish will head to Spain for an 11-day foreign tour on May 31st, a trip the program takes every four years.
It will be Notre Dame’s sixth foreign trip after making trips to Italy (2014), Japan (2010), Czech Repubilc (2005) and Ireland, England and Wales in 2001. The first trip was to Ireland in 1995.
The trip to Spain won’t just be about sightseeing as there will be games against several national teams during the 11 days. Notre Dame will start off playing in the Barcelona City Tournament, which is designed to help national teams prep for the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championship.

June 2 – Notre Dame vs. Germany
June 2 – Notre Dame vs. Switzerland
June 2 – Notre Dame vs. Holland
June 3 – Notre Dame vs. England
June 3 – Notre Dame vs. Norway
After the tournament, the trip will then focus on experiencing the Spanish culture. The Irish will have a chance to hike to Montserrat, a mountaintop monastery in Catalonia, Spain, and Puigmal, a mountain in the Pyrenees.
Other highlights over trip will include a chance to snorkel in the beach town of Costa Brava, but the most interesting will be attending a bullfight in Madrid at Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas.
