Jimmy Christ assumed Notre Dame would be focusing all of its attention on the Class of 2019 for National Signing Day on Wednesday, but that changed when the 2020 Virginia offensive lineman received a message from the Irish.
“I had to call the o-line coach early in the morning,” Christ said of the message.
Once on the phone, Irish offensive line coach Jeff Quinn informed the 6-foot-6, 280-pound junior he was being offered a scholarship to Notre Dame.
