Even before Notre Dame extended an offer to Monkell Goodwine‍ on Thursday morning, the Irish’s interest in the 2021 Maryland defensive end was obvious as defensive coordinator Clark Lea and safeties coach Terry Joseph made separate stops at National Christian Academy recently.

“My coach told me Coach Lea came to the school one day when we had an early dismissal,” Goodwine explained. “Then Terry Joseph came to a workout like a week later.
