Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly opened spring practice with a press conference on Friday afternoon. 

On leadership in the offseason:
“We had great leadership on a team that went to the College Football Playoff. I really like the leadership that’s developing within our 2019 team. We’re seeing young men who are now in a leadership position whether it is by class or they are being counted on.
