2021 TE Jordan Dingle Turned In Impressive Performance At Notre Dame
2021 Bowling Green (Ky.) tight end Jordan Dingle had been to Notre Dame for a game, but on Sunday, the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder was able to get some work in with the Fighting Irish staff.
Dingle was one of the top performers on the night and felt good about his performance.
“It was great,” Dingle told Irish Sports Daily. “I felt like I did really well and got things done. I got to talk to Coach (Aaryn) Kearney since Coach (Chip) Long wasn’t there. He said Coach Long would reach out to me pretty soon.”
The Kentucky native knew it was a chance to shine in front of a program who has developed some of the finest tight ends in the country, but he didn’t allow himself to be stressed.
“I didn’t feel any pressure,” stated Dingle. “I liked the atmosphere of the camp. The coaches were interacting with the players, so it was a good environment.
“I feel like I did really well executing what the coaches asked of me.”
Notre Dame is the first camp of many for Dingle as he’ll hit several camps this summer.
“I’m planning on going to Duke, Kentucky, Louisville and Ohio State,” Dingle said.
Dingle’s recruitment is wide open and has started to gain more attention from top programs. However, Western Kentucky was the first school to offer him and the hometown program.
“They have a special place in my heart because they were my first offer,” said Dingle.
If Notre Dame came through with an offer, Dingle knows it would be a significant one for him as it’s a program he’s interested in, but also boost his recruitment.
“It would make it even bigger and I’d be on the map even more,” explained Dingle. “I’d be extremely excited if that happened.”
Dingle would also be intrigued by Notre Dame because he would be able to potentially play with his childhood friend, Jacob Lacey, who is a freshman defensive lineman for the Irish.
“It would be a cool experience,” said Dingle.
Dingle recorded 39 catches for 446 yards and four touchdowns last fall.
