2022 ATH Terian Williams Returning To Notre Dame For Invasion
Terian Williams enjoyed his trip to South Bend for Notre Dame’s spring game back in April and the 2022 Georgia athlete is fired up about the opportunity to camp at Irish Invasion this Sunday.
“Oh, I’m really excited,” Williams said. “I can’t wait. I’m really excited to show the coaches what I can do on the field and get to talk to them even more since I’m an underclassman and can’t really talk to them like the upperclassmen do.
“Being able to talk to the coaches is very important because you can make a connection with the coaches and see where their mindset is. Face-to-face communication is one of the best things to help you make your decision.”
The Parkview High School standout has early offers from Kentucky and Tennessee. He plays quarterback for his high school team, but will be performing on defense this weekend.
“I’ll be working out at cornerback,” he said. “I think I’ll be able to show my technique, how well-disciplined I am and how patient I am on the line and not opening up my hips so easily. I think the most important thing about playing DB is being patient and not letting any double-moves come your way.”
Even though Williams was in South Bend a couple months ago, there are some aspects of Notre Dame he’d like to see more of.
“I’d like to see the facilities,” he said. “I didn’t really get a chance last time we came up. I’d like to see the academic side of things and some of the facilities.”
He’s made recent visits to Georgia Tech and Duke and will make stops at Kentucky and Northwestern in addition to Notre Dame this weekend.
“The following weekend, I have Louisville and Ohio State and then South Carolina and NC State following that,” he said.
He feels like he’s ready for what could be an important stretch of his recruitment.
“I’ve been working since I was young,” he said. “This is basically what you work for – the stretch of the summer grind. It’s all about the dog days, this is where it’s at. I’ve been working since the fall, since after the season with quarterback training/DB training. This is what we’ve been working for.”
At the same time, he isn’t stressed.
“I don’t really feel pressure. I just go out there and be myself and ball out. I know I can do it. I’ve just got to trust in myself and when I trust in myself, that’s when I do my best.”
