The Irish lost all three games to Louisville this weekend. On Friday they lost 2-0 with only one hit. On Saturday they lost 5-1 with four hits. Sunday afternoon ND was beaten 9-4.
Sunday the Irish chased Louisville's starter in the 2nd inning after he let up 4 runs, but that was it for the Irish. ND starter pitched 5 decent innings, but middle relief let the Irish down. Sean Guenther was hammered in 2 2/3 innings of work allowing 5 runs on 7 hits and a walk.
Next up for Notre Dame is a 3 game series next weekend with Austin Peay. Irish now stand at 23-26 and 10-17 in conference play.
