Win or lose, it's clear Watson is one of those quarterbacks that can elevate a team. Not to say that Clemson is going to be bad without him, but it's going to be interesting to see where they are in future years when Hunter Johnson and Trevor Lawrence are there.
Both of those guys are great, but tough to live up to the kind of impact Watson has had.

Another self-inflicted screw-up on the UC penalty on the Bama DL. Clemson is more than good enough to win with those gifts.
Any thought of Watson not being the best draft eligible QB is total nonsense. If I'm an NFL team (Cleveland/Chicago) this guy is my pick, hands down.

Clemson went somewhat conservative on defense , playing off dropping a lot of guys into coverage and only bringing four guys. Felt like I was watching NDvs Stanford circa 2015

The PI was NOT in the endzone. Bama got screwed on the placement. Clemon would have had the ball on about the 6. No way they run another play.

Spes is right...i watched the replay, the Alabama DB, grabs the outside WR. He did all he work for the WR. No penalty on that play at all. Great game overall.

Bama dude grabs him and the WR was running a route and "fell" when the DB wrapped him in a hug. They're hardly ever going to call that one since he didn't really appear to attempt to "block".

I switched to ESPN for the final couple minutes, but DVRd the Coaches channel.
The excitement and lack of understanding in crucial moments is kind of what I expected.
They're all talking so fast.
Addazio didn't even realize that the clock doesn't run on a PAT. He wanted them to take a knee to run out the clock instead of kicking the extra point. Then rationalized it by saying he didn't wanna kick off to Bama.

Something I just thought of LOL... Corso jinxed Alabama, he is 0-6 when picking against or for Alabama in the title games. He picked against them the first 5 times and he picked them to win last night.... lol
