With the Irish returning to Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday to play Navy and that means more recruits flocking to South Bend.

Notre Dame’s 2020 class has been close to complete for months now, so much of the fall visits have been concentrated on underclassmen and this weekend is no different.

The top 2021 prospects expected in attendance include defensive end Aaron Armitage, who previewed the visit with ISD last week, and IMG Academy receiver Dekel Crowdus, who visited last fall as well. Top in-state 2022 defensive end Joe Strickland‍ will also be back, as noted by ISD’s Matt Freeman here.

But there’s also a host of talented underclassman visitors to learn even more about.

2021 WR ANDREW WILSON-LAMP

The Ohio prospect has early offers from West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Iowa State among others. The 6-foot-3, 170-pounder from Massillon, Ohio has already visited West Virginia and Ohio State this year.

He’s looking forward to checking out Notre Dame on Saturday.

“I just wanna get a feel for the atmosphere.”

2021 OL PARKER BATES

The Kentucky native comes from the same high school as former Irish offensive lineman Hunter Bivin. Bates, who has an early offer from Kentucky, camped at Notre Dame this summer.

“I’m definitely most excited about the game and the atmosphere. Also hoping to learn more about the new facilities they have built because last time I was there, it was still under construction.”

2021 OL NOAH BOLTICOFF

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound junior from Kansas has offers from both in-state powers, Kansas and Kansas State.

“I’m honestly just really excited to watch them play.”

2021 K/P IAN WAGNER

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound specialist from O’Fallon Township High School has an early offer from Iowa. He was at Notre Dame for the Florida State game last fall.

“I am most excited about being back in the great South Bend atmosphere on gameday. I’ve been to many college games, but nothing comes close to the games in South Bend.”

2022 QB DONOVAN LEARY

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore signal-caller from New Jersey’s Timber Creek High School already has offers from Rutgers, Maryland and UMass among others. Leary is the younger brother of NC State redshirt freshman quarterback Devin Leary.

“Notre Dame has great football and it’s a great school I’m looking forward to watch good football.”

2022 WR/CB TOMMY WINTON

The Tennessee native has an early offer from the in-state Volunteers along with Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder is ready to see the Midwest.

“I’ve heard about how nice the area is, never been that far north and I’m excited to meet the staff since being young prevents them from communicating with me.”

2022 DB XAVIER NWANKPA

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound sophomore from Iowa has offers from Iowa and Iowa State already along with Nebraska.

“The history of the University and what they have to offer. I’m excited about meeting the coaches and other recruits that will be there”

2022 DB TREVON HOWARD

The 6-foot, 175-pounder from Minneapolis already has offers from Minnesota and Iowa State. The Minnehaha Academy standout is coming into this weekend’s trip with some high expectations.

“I heard the games are always packed and live. I’m hoping to learn the culture and meet the coaches and see what there about.”

2023 DL BRENAN VERNON

Just a freshman, the 6-foot-5, 245-pounder from Ohio has already attracted plenty of attention. The Mentor High School standout has early offers from Duke and Indiana among others and we hear Notre Dame’s early interest is also serious.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to see what Notre Dame is really like, I love the looks of everything on the field and from what I can see, but to actually go in and meet the coaches and see the behind the scenes.”
