Several Notable Underclassmen Visiting Notre Dame
With the Irish returning to Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday to play Navy and that means more recruits flocking to South Bend.
Notre Dame’s 2020 class has been close to complete for months now, so much of the fall visits have been concentrated on underclassmen and this weekend is no different.
The top 2021 prospects expected in attendance include defensive end Aaron Armitage, who previewed the visit with ISD last week, and IMG Academy receiver Dekel Crowdus, who visited last fall as well. Top in-state 2022 defensive end Joe Strickland will also be back, as noted by ISD’s Matt Freeman here.
But there’s also a host of talented underclassman visitors to learn even more about.
The Ohio prospect has early offers from West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Iowa State among others. The 6-foot-3, 170-pounder from Massillon, Ohio has already visited West Virginia and Ohio State this year.
He’s looking forward to checking out Notre Dame on Saturday.

The Tennessee native has an early offer from the in-state Volunteers along with Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder is ready to see the Midwest.
“I’ve heard about how nice the area is, never been that far north and I’m excited to meet the staff since being young prevents them from communicating with me.”
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound sophomore from Iowa has offers from Iowa and Iowa State already along with Nebraska.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder from Minneapolis already has offers from Minnesota and Iowa State. The Minnehaha Academy standout is coming into this weekend’s trip with some high expectations.
“I heard the games are always packed and live. I’m hoping to learn the culture and meet the coaches and see what there about.”
Just a freshman, the 6-foot-5, 245-pounder from Ohio has already attracted plenty of attention. The Mentor High School standout has early offers from Duke and Indiana among others and we hear Notre Dame’s early interest is also serious.
“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to see what Notre Dame is really like, I love the looks of everything on the field and from what I can see, but to actually go in and meet the coaches and see the behind the scenes.”
