BREAKING | 2022 Four-Star RB JD Price Commits to Notre Dame

It didn't take long for 2022 Denison (Texas) running back JD Price‍ to make a decision as the four-star prospect has committed to Notre Dame.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder received his offer from the Irish at the end of January and it’s all he needed as Notre Dame fit what Price was looking for on and off the field. 

“I was able to see the different programs at the school and it really hit me because I didn't know some of them existed,” Price said of a recent virtual visit with Notre Dame. “Traveling to different countries is a pretty cool opportunity along with a lot of things outside of football they introduced to me." 

Price, who holds over a 4.0 GPA, took a great deal of pride in holding an offer from Notre Dame and Stanford while also receiving offers from the likes of Auburn, Baylor, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and USC.

“People don't just see the athletic side of me and that I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field,” stated Price. "The fact I could get a prestigious education from Notre Dame or Stanford to take me further in life and make me stronger with my social life. It's great." 

The Texas native hasn’t been to South Bend just yet as his visit was canceled earlier this week due to weather, but expect Price to be there sooner than later. Yet, Notre Dame’s coaching staff led by Lance Taylor made him feel comfortable enough to make an early decision. 

"I've really been opened minded and I've learned a lot about Notre Dame and a lot of colleges outside my home state,” Price stated. “I feel a lot more comfortable taking an opportunity out of state, so it's not really the biggest thing I'm worried about anymore."
