On Feb. 9th, Addison Copeland landed a scholarship offer from Notre Dame. The 2022 New York wide receiver publicly backed off his previous commitment to Rutgers the same day.
While the offer from the Irish clearly played a role in that decision, one source says it wasn’t the interest from Notre Dame alone that led Copeland to re-open his recruitment.
“He thought that schools thought he was, ‘100%. I don't wanna talk to no one else,’” the source says.
