Caleb Presley was supposed to camp in South Bend last summer, but COVID-19 wiped out those plans. Still, the Irish have been impressed enough with Presley’s development to extend him a scholarship offer earlier this month.
“After talking to Coach (Mickens), he definitely piqued my interest in learning about the school and a lot of the different abilities that the school has to offer through education.
“I know number one is the education. Being at a prestigious school right now, Eastside Catholic, I'm only looking forward to furthering my education and I think Notre Dame is a school for that. They're big time when it comes to scholar-athletes and I think the football program is definitely outstanding.”

It was a big day in the Irish Athletics Center as Notre Dame’s NFL Draft hopefuls worked out before an audience of NFL coaches and personnel along with several former players. The event was closed to the public and media not named NBC or NFL Network.

Eichenberg Disagrees with Draft Experts
Liam Eichenberg has never held back from speaking his mind and he did so on Monday as some draft experts have knocked him for a lack of athleticism.
"I think people who say that don't really understand football very well and definitely did not watch my tape,” said Eichenberg.

You go there to develop, get your degree, et cetera, and most importantly, play at a high level and do well at a high level. I really like the coaching staff, they're awesome guys. They really like the way I play, the way I defend, the way I shoot at a high level. It's a good fit, for sure.”
