BREAKING | 2023 WR Jaden Greathouse Commits To Notre Dame
Jaden Greathouse is expecting great things for his college career.
“A lot of touchdowns, a lot of high energy and a lot of plays,” he told Irish Sports Daily.
And the 2024 Texas wide receiver will be making those plays for the Fighting Irish after announcing his commitment to Notre Dame on Friday afternoon.
“I’m super excited,” the Austin Westlake star said. “They’re a lot of great guys, great coaches. I’m ready to settle in and really be all in.”
The combination of academics and athletics helped Notre Dame beat out Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and several other top programs to land Greathouse.
“Just the degree and the amazing coaching staff and culture they have over there,” he said of why he chose Notre Dame. “The degree is second to none and the football is also second to none, so you get the best of both worlds.”
The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder says wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees and the rest of the Irish staff were “super excited” when he informed them of his decision.
“Just trusting in Coach Stuck and Coach Rees,” he said. “I believe they’ll develop me into the next great receiver for sure.”
Greathouse gives Notre Dame 20 verbal commits in the Class of 2023 and three receivers, joining his friend and fellow Texas wideout Braylon James and California’s Rico Flores Jr..
He’s fired up to have the process behind him.
“It’s definitely going to be a sense of relief not having to worry about all that or deal with all of that stuff, so I’m pretty excited.”
