After an impressive visit back in April, Owen Strebig returned to Notre Dame last week and the 2025 Wisconsin offensive lineman was once again blown away.
“This visit, it was awesome,” Strebig told Irish Sports Daily. “It definitely built upon the first visit. It definitely went really well. Relationships continue to grow and I'm just feeling more and more comfortable there.”
The Catholic Memorial High School star got a more in-depth look at campus.
“Man, it was beautiful,” Strebig said. “It's just a beautiful campus and you can definitely tell that campus life is very good.”
He also got to see the Irish get some work in.
In the morning, he sat down with first-year Notre Dame offensive line coach Joe Rudolph.
“It was great,” the 6-foot-8, 290-pounder said. “We talked football. We talked about our personal lives. We talked a little bit about the history of offensive linemen at Notre Dame.”
In the afternoon, he met with Irish head coach Marcus Freeman.
“That was just building upon how far Notre Dame can help you go in life, talking about the Four for 40,” said Strebig. “He also talked a little bit about just my fit into the program.”
One of the top overall prospects in the entire country, Strebig holds offers from schools like Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State, Florida, Florida State, USC, UCLA and Stanford among several others.
Strebig said the Irish made their interest in him very clear.
“I'm someone they see fitting both athletically and socially into the program,” he said.
Next up for Strebig is a trip to Florida at the end of July, but he isn’t ruling out another visit to South Bend at the end of that month as well.
