2025 CB Dallas Golden Ready For Notre Dame Return
Dallas Golden received his offer from Notre Dame over a year ago and this weekend, the 2025 Florida athlete will get another look at the school.
“I'm definitely excited,” says Golden, who was in town for April’s Blue-Gold Game.
“I'm excited to see my first Notre Dame football game. I'm excited to see the culture and how everything goes up here.”
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder from Tampa has dozens of offers from schools like Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Florida State, Texas A&M, Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin among several others.
Golden could play a number of positions at the next level, but corner seems to be the position the Irish see him playing.
He’s kept in regular contact with multiple Notre Dame staff members.
“I've been talking to them,” he says. “I've been talking to Coach (Marcus) Freeman. I've been talking to Coach (Chad) Bowden. I'm talking to Coach (Mike) Mickens and Coach (Dre) Brown. I'm talking to all of them, all those guys.
“They're just checking up on me, seeing how I'm doing, making sure everything's going good with me and my family.”
The staff may not be making a hard sales pitch at the moment, but the Berkeley Prep star likes their approach.
“I like how they treat me,” he says. “They treat me as a family. It's not all about football, it's all about things for stuff after football. They’re so welcoming.”
Golden hasn’t been too busy visiting colleges yet this fall.
“I haven't been on that many visits to be honest,” he says. “I've just been to Florida State this fall. That's it.
“In the spring, I went to Clemson, Florida, Notre Dame and Florida State.”
He doesn’t have any other visits set yet beyond this weekend.
He also hasn’t locked in any sort of timeline for a final decision.
“I haven't really started thinking about that yet, to be honest.”
