2026 QB Bo Polston Enjoys Notre Dame Trip, Returning This Week
Bo Polston enjoyed his visit to Notre Dame for the Irish’s game against Pittsburgh earlier this month.
“It was an awesome time,” the 2026 Indiana quarterback said. “I got to see the amazing indoor facility, got to watch the team walk from the library over to the stadium, got to talk to some of the coaches, and just got to enjoy a great game.
“They said that they're going to come watch me throw in January and that they're excited to have me back up.”
The Irish won’t have to wait very long as the Decatur Central High School star will make his way back up from Indianapolis this week.
“Just a better connection with the coaches,” Polston said of what he’s hoping to get out of this trip. “You can always work on that, just getting to know them a little bit more.”
His initial impressions of the Notre Dame staff, especially quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli, have been overwhelmingly positive.
“I thought they were great people,” he said. “Coach Gino, he's a great guy. He welcomed me and had great hospitality for me.”
Polston was impressed with the Irish offense during their 58-7 blowout win over Pittsburgh.
“They started off slow, but it happens and then they picked it up and scored 58 points,” he said. “That's impressive. I could see myself being a great fit in that particular offense.”
The week after that visit, he made his way to Ann Arbor and left with an offer from Michigan.
“It's a great feeling,” said Polston. “I wasn't expecting it, but it's awesome. I'm actually still kind of lost words from it, just such a great feeling.”
Polston also has offers from Indiana, Central Michigan, Toledo, Marshall and Akron.
He’ll head to Louisville for a visit the final weekend of the month.
