2025 OL Owen Strebig Gives Notre Dame High Reviews

2025 offensive lineman Owen Strebig‍ has seen a lot of Notre Dame over the past 48 hours.

Marcus Freeman, Mike Denbrock and Joe Rudolph made the trip to Catholic Memorial High School (Wis.) on Friday to visit with the four-star prospect. Strebig was then in South Bend on Saturday for a Junior Day visit.

The 6-foot-8, 295-pounder has been anything but a stranger to Notre Dame’s campus over the last 12 months, yet this visit was a little different.

Strebig was able to connect with most of Notre Dame’s 2025 recruiting class, but also pick the brains of some current offensive linemen to get a feel for the program.

“This visit was more spent with other recruits,” Strebig told ISD. “Also, I was able  to talk with some current offensive line players and get their honest opinions on Notre Dame.”

The Wisconsin native is in regular contact with Notre Dame’s commits, which includes 2025 quarterback Deuce Knight, but Saturday was a chance to hang out face-to-face and that was enjoyed by everyone.

“I’m cool with all the commits,” stated Strebig. “Deuce, CJ (May), Thurm (Justin Thurman). Those are my guys.”

Strebig also was able to get plenty of time around Rudolph on this trip. The focus wasn’t so much building a relationship as that’s been done for months, but rather learning how the Irish would use the four-star prospect.

“Coach Rudolph and I have such a strong relationship,” said Strebig. “This visit, we got to dig into a little bit of film study.”

Freeman’s message was the opposite of Rudolph's, as Notre Dame’s head coach focused on sharing how Strebig could set himself up for life after football.

“Coach Freeman was telling me about how strong a Notre Dame degree is,” explained Strebig. “Notre Dame can not only make you a first-round pick, but also set you up for the rest of your life.”

Strebig has cut his recruitment to a top 11 of Central Florida, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Iowa, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, USC and Wisconsin, but is undecided on his next step.

And regardless of his next move, Notre Dame remains a major player for Strebig.

“As of right now, I'm not sure what is next,” said Strebig.
