After a pair of visits to Notre Dame this spring, Cincere Johnson‍ will be back in South Bend on Thursday for the Irish’s Grill And Chill.

“I just want to have another great experience, learn some new things that I didn't know, obviously chill with the players and the staff and just have a good time,” the 2026 Ohio linebacker says.

The Glenville High School standout’s first trip to Notre Dame came after picking up his Irish offer on St. Patrick’s Day.

“It's a great historical football program,” Johnson says about what has had his attention since landing that offer.

“Also just how the degree affects your life after football. Just the things Notre Dame has produced and done are great and it's a great program.”

He’s looking forward to getting an even deeper feel for the program on Thursday.

“Just the culture,” he said when asked what he’s hoping to learn more about this time. “Again, dive deep into the culture and life outside of football.

“Obviously it's a Grill And Chill, so ask questions if there are alumni there, talk to alumni about the afterlife of football and just things of that nature.”

He’s remained in consistent contact with the Irish since the offer and his earlier trips to South Bend.

“It's been great,” the 6-foot-2, 225-pounder said. “I try to talk to them every weekend or every other, but it's been great.”

On Friday, Johnson will head to Texas A&M.

He expects to return to South Bend for a game and will also try to get to Florida State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Louisville and others this fall.
