Notre Dame Commit Roundup | Offense
Notre Dame’s 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes have expanded and contracted over the past few months, but they’ve always been packed with talented high school players with high ceilings as prospects for the next level.
Those talents have been on display across the country throughout the fall; here’s a look at exactly how the future Irish have performed during their high school seasons so far.
2025 QB Blake Hebert, Brunswick School (CT)
The newest member of the Irish’s 2025 class is immediately one of its most high profile. Along with fellow Notre Dame commits Matty Augustine and Ethan Long, Hebert has helped lead the Bruins to a 6-1 record this season with their only loss coming in a 36-27 defeat this past weekend to Phillips Exeter Academy.
On the season, Hebert has completed 57 of 107 pass attempts (53.3%) for 1,021 yards and nine touchdowns against five interceptions. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder is a force in the running game as well, rushing for more than 300 yards and nine scores on the season.
2026 QB Noah Grubbs, Lake Mary (FL)
While the 2025 quarterback slot had been uncertain for months until Hebert’s commitment, the Irish have had their 2026 signal-caller locked up virtually drama-free since June. Grubbs has led Lake Mary to seven wins through nine games, completing 120 of his 198 passes for 1,644 yards with 21 touchdowns and six picks. He’s also added another touchdown on the ground.
2025 RB Justin Thurman, Jesuit (FL)
For months, Thurman was one of two running backs in the Class of 2025, but after the Irish parted ways with Daniel Anderson, he’s the only back in the class at the moment. In seven games for Jesuit, Thurman has 338 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 78 carries with another 45 yards on six receptions.
2025 WR Elijah Burress, DePaul Catholic (NJ)
The son of former Michigan State, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants star receiver Plaxico Burress has been one of the most impressive Irish commits this season. He’s put his explosiveness on display, reeling in 26 passes for an eye-popping 684 yards and 11 touchdowns in helping lead 7-1 DePaul Catholic.
2025 WR Jerome Bettis Jr., Woodward Academy (GA)
The son of the Irish legend by the same name has made impacts on both sides of the ball, helping the War Eagles to a 6-3 record, including 42-14 win over previously-unbeaten Decatur last week. On the season, Bettis Jr. has 21 catches for 466 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, he’s registered 36 tackles, including one for a loss with two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
2025 WR Antavious Richardson, Greenville (GA)
The newest receiver commit in the Irish’s class, Richardson actually plays quarterback for his high school squad. Through seven games, he’s completed 37 of his 60 pass attempts for 750 yards and six touchdowns against three interceptions. He’s shown his playmaking ability on the ground, carrying the ball 70 times for 900 yards with five scores. He’s also shown why some scouts thought he’d make a standout defensive back in college, registering more than 60 tackles and grabbing an interception.
2026 WR Dylan Faison, St. Andrews (FL)
Faison won’t be flying under the radar the way his brother and current Irish receiver Jordan Faison did when he was in high school, joining Notre Dame’s football team as a walk-on who was recruited to play lacrosse.
Through eight games this season, Faison has 43 catches for 557 yards with seven receiving touchdowns. He also has two scores on the ground and another on a punt return. Defensively, he has three interceptions and a blocked field goal.

2025 TE James Flanigan, Notre Dame de la Baie
Another Irish legacy, Flanigan has helped his high school squad to a perfect 10-0 record, including a first-round playoff game this season. On the year, Flanigan has 18 receptions for 450 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s also made an impact on the defensive side of the ball like his dad did in South Bend, registering 32 tackles, including 19 for a loss, nine sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
