Brayden Robinson made his second visit to Notre Dame for this weekend’s Blue-Gold Game and while the 2026 Texas receiver got to see some new stuff, the Irish were also able to reinforce some of the things that had him interested in the first place.
“It went pretty good,” Robinson told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I pretty much got the whole campus tour this time.
“I liked it. It was more modern than I thought it was going to be. The last time I was here, it was snowing a lot, so I didn't really get to see everything.
“Basically seeing what the place has to offer.”
But the message that was really drilled home was that combination Notre Dame has to offer.
“Basically an Ivy League education and a place where they're playing top-level football,” said Robinson. “They were basically letting me know that you really can't get that anywhere else in the country.”
The Red Oak High School star was also able to sit down with head coach Marcus Freeman, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and receivers coach Mike Brown.
“It was good to catch up with (Freeman) for the first time since he'd been out to my school,” Robinson said. “It's always good talking to him.”
He also enjoyed his meeting with Brown.
“It was good,” he said. “We got to watch some film, break things down, see where he sees me in the offense, stuff like that. That was pretty good.”
Robinson is impressed with Denbrock’s knowledge of the game.
“He's really a genius at this offense stuff,” said Robinson. “Just picking his brain and seeing the aspect of where he sees me in the offense, the things he could do with me and knowing that he's confident in me really playing anywhere in the field is definitely big.”
The Irish see the 5-foot-8, 165-pounder as a versatile weapon.
“I feel like they wouldn't put a cap on my versatility; whether that's me playing slot, outside, in the backfield, the return game,” he said. “I feel like they would have a pretty good package for me.”
Robinson was able to speak with new Notre Dame commit Rodney Dunham and quarterback pledge Noah Grubbs.
“Noah pretty much texts me every day to make sure that I know that he wants me to be there as well, just knowing that I'm wanted by a great program and a great university, that's definitely big time,” said Robinson.
Next up for Robinson are official visits to Ohio State, Miami and Arizona before an official to Notre Dame on June 20th.
He’ll make his college decision public one month later and said the Irish hold a good spot at the moment.
“They're still high on my list right now.”
