2026 OL Grayson McKeogh Previews Notre Dame Stop
Two weeks after landing an offer from Notre Dame, Grayson McKeogh will see South Bend for the first time.
The 2026 Pennsylvania offensive lineman will arrive in town on Wednesday and visit for a couple days before heading back home on Friday.
“I really just want to see the place and get to know everybody,” the 6-foot-8, 285-pounder told Irish Sports Daily. “I just want to gauge their interest in me while I see what they're about.
“It definitely seems like the interest is there and that they think I can really affect their program. Words can only go so far and I guess we'll see in person.”
The La Salle College High School standout is looking forward to seeing the school, the program and the people.
“I just want to see the way their coaches coach and the players and how they respond to their coaches and do they respect them,” he said. “I want to see the academic side of campus, what they've got going on there; just the campus and the facilities.”
Offensive line coach Joe Rudolph and Director of Recruiting Carter Auman are leading the recruitment for the Irish.
“Coach Rudolph seems like a really high-spirited guy,” McKeogh said. “I could tell just by the way he speaks to me that guys definitely respect him and that he respects them. He just seems like a really honest and upfront guy.
“And then in terms of Carter, he's a really energetic guy as well. He's really into it and he really expresses interest well and always checks up on me and stuff like that.”
McKeogh will take unofficial visits to Rutgers and Penn State next week and may add some others as well.
“There might be a couple of things happening in May, but I'm not 100 percent sure on that yet,” he said. “Then officials start in June.”
He already has officials to Penn State and Duke set with schools like Notre Dame, Rutgers and Tennessee hoping to be added.
McKeogh’s La Salle teammate, 2026 safety Joey O'Brien, is also a top target for the Irish.
“We've kind of spoken a little bit about it, just me trying to get up there at some point, but we kind of just let each other do our own thing and support the way we're thinking.”
