After taking his first trip to Notre Dame a couple months ago, Seneca Driver returned for Friday’s Irish Invasion and once again, the 2027 Kentucky tight end enjoyed himself.
“It went pretty good,” Driver told Irish Sports Daily afterward.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder was happy with the way he performed at the event.
“I think I did good,” he said, specifically noting his ability to use his size.
“High-pointing the ball where I could get to the ball higher and have a better chance to catch it.”
The Boyle County standout also got some pointers on the other side of playing the tight end position.
“For my blocking, getting my hands inside more, chop my feet more, and whenever I'm planting, to plant harder,” Driver said of the feedback he got from the Irish coaching staff.
Driver appreciated the style of the Notre Dame coaches.
“I think it was really good,” he said. “They know what they're talking about and they put me in the right direction to help me.”
The overall message from the coaches was a positive one.
“Just to keep working,” Driver relayed. “They like how I am as a person.”
Driver landed an offer from the Irish on Pot of Gold Day. He has an impressive offer sheet that also includes schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Penn State, Texas and Texas A&M among others.
After the camp, Driver stuck around a bit for the Grill & Chill.
“It was nice,” he said. “I just went to go eat and talk to some of the coaches.”
Driver plans on returning to Notre Dame for a game in the fall.
But he has a few stops this month first.
“Sunday, I've got Penn State. Monday, I have Ohio State, and then on the 22nd, I have Tennessee.”
