At one point, Titus Hawk‍ thought he’d be coming to Irish Invasion on Friday to try to earn an offer from Notre Dame.

Instead, the 2027 Oklahoma tight end picked up that offer in May. Still, the 6-foot-7, 215-pounder felt he had plenty to prove and wasn’t going to take it easy by any means.

The Choctaw High School standout enjoyed his first visit to South Bend.

“It was great,” Hawk said. “I loved it. It was awesome.

“I got to run a bunch of routes, walk a little bit, talk to the coaches. I saw just about everything. It was awesome.”

He was pleased with his performance and the feedback from the Irish coaches.

“I think I did great,” he said. “They just gave me really good tips that I can take back to high school and I can use during school ball.

“I liked how they were good one-on-one and not just as a group.”

Hawk stuck around for the Grill & Chill event after the camp.

“It was a great environment,” he said. “It was a lot of fun. You got to talk with a lot of people. It shows you that they don't just care about football and they're there to have a little bit of fun too.”

Notre Dame is a school Hawk and his family have wanted to visit for a while and it certainly made an impact.

“I wanted to see the culture and I wanted to see it all, see how everything was,” said Hawk.

“I thought it was awesome. I think it's great that when you come here, you also get a great education and you can get a great degree. It's not just football and getting to the next level. Obviously that's a goal, but that won't last you as long as all the other stuff will.”

Hawk, who came into the week with offers from schools like Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Miami, Penn State, Nebraska and Missouri among others. On Wednesday, he added Utah and Thursday, he added Michigan.

He doesn’t have any other visits set right now, but sees himself returning to South Bend.

“I think I'll come back sometime in the fall, maybe catch a game or something like that. Other than that, I'm not really sure yet. We 've got a lot of time.”
