Khary Adams‍ camped at Notre Dame last summer. He returned to South Bend for a game last fall.

The 2026 Maryland cornerback was on campus again back this April.

The Irish will get one last chance to host the elite prospect before his final decision when he returns this weekend for his official visit.

“I'm excited,” Adams told Irish Sports Daily. “I’m really excited just to see everything again.”

One thing Adams is looking forward to is diving more into the training aspect at Notre Dame.

“I'm excited to see the strength and conditioning program,” he said. “I just think that's what gets you developed. That's an important piece.”

The message from the Irish to the 6-foot-2, 180-pounder has been a consistent one.

“That they need me,” he said. “I'm the one. I'm the corner they need.”

Although, he acknowledged he’s hearing that a lot these days.

“Yeah, most schools are saying that,” laughed Adams, who is also seriously considering Oregon, Michigan, Penn State and South Carolina.

“It's a blessing. I think that's a blessing for sure.”

Overall, the Loyola Blakefield star likes what Notre Dame presents as a program and a university.

“It's a lot like my school,” he said. “And in terms of development and education, you can't really beat getting a top degree while playing winning football and competing for a championship.”

Adams is looking to reconnect with some of the current Notre Dame commits who will also be on campus, including quarterback Noah Grubbs‍ and cornerback Chaston Smith‍, who he already knows.

“It'll be good,” Adams said. “It'll be fun.

“They're cool. They’re trying to get me up there.”

Adams has already taken official visits to Penn State, South Carolina and Michigan.

“They were smooth for real,” he said. “They were good.”

He heads to Oregon next weekend.

“That's been my dream school,” he acknowledged. “You would just see them on TV a lot, new jerseys every weekend. It just seemed like a place you’d want to be.”

He’s expected to make a decision sometime at the end of this month or toward the beginning of next.
