Daemon Fagan‍ is excited for the opportunity to visit schools upon the dead period being lifted at the end of May.

The 2023 Florida safety has visits locked in for Miami on June 2nd, Georgia from June 5th-7th and then Florida and Florida State later that week.

“It's going to be a great experience,” the American Heritage star said. “I haven't seen most of these schools I've got offers from. All of these trips I'm taking, I haven't been most places, so it's going to be a great experience for me.

“I was looking forward to it last year, but unfortunately I couldn't get to it, but this year, I'm going to be looking forward to it a lot.”

He’s also looking to add dates to see Notre Dame, Ohio State and Arizona State.

Fagan believes the visits will help him as he moves forward with the recruiting process.

“Seeing the school, the certain vibes I catch from the school,” he said of what he wants to get out of the swing. “If I don't like it, then I'm most likely going to eliminate that school from my recruitment.

“So, I'm going to use these visits now and then the connections I build throughout the season and then the year after this when I take my officials, I'll really narrow it down.”

He’s kept in regular touch with the Notre Dame staff – specifically safeties coach Chris O’Leary and defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman – since being offered by the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.

“We talk like once or twice a week,” he said. “So we've got a good connection and everything. We're just trying to find a date to get out there.”

Fagan said he’s been impressed with O’Leary thus far.

“He's a real cool guy,” Fagan said of O’Leary. “He's like a big brother to me honestly. He teaches me a lot. He's a real good guy.

“He says I'd be perfect for the defense. I'm versatile, so I'll be able to move around and they need a guy like me in the back end to help them win a national championship.”

If he’s able to get to South Bend, Fagan said he’d like to get to know the entire staff better.

“Getting better connections with them, get to ask them some questions about the campus and everything, see more around the campus. Really, that's about it.”
