2026 QB Noah Grubbs Talks Recent Notre Dame Stop

When Marcus Freeman spotted Noah Grubbs‍ on the field during warmups, the Notre Dame head coach approached the 2026 Florida quarterback for a quick chat.

Freeman thanked Grubbs for coming to visit before adding that they needed to figure out a way to get Grubbs back to South Bend for good.

Grubbs’ first visit to Notre Dame was certainly eventful as he earned a scholarship offer from the Irish after a camp performance in June, but the second visit - for Saturday’s game against Ohio State - will be a memorable one because of that chat with Freeman and more.

“It was a crazy atmosphere to be at and a game that I'll definitely remember and a crazy ending for sure,” the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder told Irish Sports Daily.

“When we got there, we went to the indoor and we ate for a little, they had introductions and then we went to the field and then we met some of the coaches.”

The Lake Mary High School star also has offers from schools like Miami, Michigan, Penn State, Texas A&M, Duke, Pitt and Virginia Tech among others.

Grubbs acknowledged that Freeman’s comments caught him off guard.

“It was definitely different,” he said. “Not a lot of coaches have said that to me, so I was in shock for a second, but it meant something to me for sure.

Grubbs was also able to speak with quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli during pregame.

“He was just talking about how crazy the atmosphere was going to be,” Grubbs said.

“The game was crazy. I liked the way that they ran their offense, the things they had their quarterback doing, and I liked their play-calling.”

There weren’t many - if any - other 2026 prospects invited for the game.

“That's definitely special,” said Grubbs. “It means a lot.”

Grubbs plans to stay in touch with the Notre Dame coaches throughout the season and expects to be back in South Bend again in the offseason.

His plans for the rest of the fall include planned trips to Texas A&M, Miami and Michigan.

But the Irish certainly grab his attention for good this past weekend.

“They're definitely a top school in my recruitment and they always will be. I could see myself there one day.”
