Over the weekend, many Notre Dame commits were in action with their respective high schools.

This past Friday, 5-star Irish quarterback commit Phil Jurkovec‍ led his team this weekend to a 42-7 win over Seneca Valley High School. Jurkovec threw for 280 yards and completed 17 of his 23 pass attempts and accounted for three touchdowns. Pine-Richland is now 3-0 on the season and will travel to face Penn Hills High School this Friday.

The trio of 4-star Irish commits who play for St. Peter Prep, Justin Ademilola‍, Jayson Ademilola‍ and Shayne Simon‍, were in action this past Friday. St. Peter’s Prep took its first loss of the season in its week two matchup when the Marauders traveled to Pennsylvania to face St. Joseph’s Prep. The contest was close, but St. Joseph’s won 28-21. Simon made his presence on offense by hauling in 10 catches for 160 yards and two touchdowns in the losing effort.  

4-star running back Markese Stepp‍ and his team at Cathedral High School were in action this past Friday and picked up their first win of the season. Stepp carried the ball nine times for 77 yards in the 34-13 win over rival Indianapolis Bishop Chatard. Cathedral High School will look for its second win of the season this Friday when it faces off against St. Xavier High School on the road.

4-star defensive tackle Ja'mion Franklin‍ was in action with his team at North Caroline High School this past Friday. Franklin and his squad won in blow out fashion for the second week in a row, 49-6.  North Caroline High School is now 2-0 on the year and will host Cambridge-South Dorchester this Friday.

4-star linebacker Ovie Oghoufo‍ showed his offensive skills in his team’s 47-8 win this past Friday against Stoney Creek High School. Oghoufo has 151 all-purpose yards and a touchdown in Farmington Hill-Harrison’s week three victory. Farmington Hills Harrison is now 2-1 on the season and will travel to face off against Seaholm High School this Friday.

3-star linebacker Bo Bauer‍ and his teammates at Cathedral High School were in action this past Friday night. Cathedral dominated McDowell High School 63-7 for its third win of the season and to stay undefeated. Bauer recorded six solo tackles with a tackle for loss in the dominating defensive performance. Cathedral will travel to face Benedictine High School this Friday.

John Dirksen‍, the 3-star offensive lineman commit for the Irish, and his teammates at Marion Local High School stayed undefeated with a hard-fought 13-7 win over Coldwater High School. Marion Local High School is now 3-0 on the season. Dirksen and his teammates will travel to face Minster High School this Friday.

Cole Mabry‍, the Irish’s 3-star offensive lineman commit, and his teammates were in action this past Friday. Mabry and his team remained undefeated winning 42-7 over Stewarts Creek. Brentwood High School is now 4-0 on the season. The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder and his team will be in action this Friday to take on International School of Broward.

3-star running back Jahmir Smith‍ and his teammates at Lee County High School remained hot, putting up a ton of points in its 55-27 win over Hoke County High School. Smith and the rest of the Lee County offense have excelled and are now 4-0 on the season. They will be on the road once again this season this coming week to face West Carteret High School his Friday.

3-star wide receiver Micah Jones‍ had a monster game this past Friday. Jones and his teammates at Warren Township High School won 26-10 over Libertyville High School to improve to 2-1 on the season. The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder caught eight passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. Jones and his team will travel to face Lake Forest High School this Friday.

2019 defensive tackle commit Jacob Lacey‍ and his teammates at South Warren High School were in action this past Friday. Lacey and his team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 27-17 win over Central Hardin High School. The 6-foot-2, 300-pounder and his team will be back in action this Friday when they host Grayson County High School.

2019 4-star quarterback Cade McNamara‍ and his teammates at Damonte Ranch High School dominated Hug High School 55-0 to improve their record to 3-0 on the year.  McNamara completed 8 of his 11 pass attempts for 178 yards and four touchdowns. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder and his team will be back in action this Friday when they host Spanish Springs High School.

Two Irish commits, tight end George Takacs‍ who plays for Gulf Coast High School and wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr., had their games postponed due to Hurricane Irma. Two more Irish commits and their high schools enjoyed a bye week, linebacker Jack Lamb‍ who plays for Great Oak High School and safety Derrik Allen‍ who plays for Lassiter High School.
