Film Don't Lie | Brandon Logan
Brandon Logan has been on the radar as a potential addition to Notre Dame’s 2025 class for a while. The Fort Wayne product made it official today when he pledged to the Irish.
He was previously committed to Vanderbilt’s baseball program and is considered a top prospect in that sport according to Perfect Game, ranking as a 9.5 out of 10 on their scale. He also tested out with a 60-yard time and 10-yard split (1.48) back in 2022 that were in the 99.93 and 99.57 percentile respectively.
He blew Notre Dame away at camp this summer with ridiculously impressive athletic testing as well. He clocked a 4.44 40, broad jumped 10-4, and had a 4.16 short shuttle at 186 pounds. That combined with a great day of position work earned him an offer and proved to everyone that he’s an extremely intriguing prospect.
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 186
Projected Position: Safety
ISD Grade: 88 (3-star)
National Average Grade: 86.5 (3-star)
What he does best:
Logan has very good ball skills. He knows how to find the football and had six interceptions during his junior season.
He showcased his ability to play man coverage at Invasion. His ability to be physical and mirror receivers with his short area quickness is a big strength.
He’s a solid wrap tackler who does a good job of adding in as an extra defender in the box as well as tracking down players on the perimeter.
What he needs to improve:
He doesn’t play as fast as he tests and I think a lot of that has to do with cleaning up his footwork with transitions. A lot of that is just gaining experience and getting taught the details.
He popped more as an athlete at Invasion than what he showed on film as a junior.
What’s his ceiling?
This is a savvy addition to the class for Notre Dame’s coaching and personnel staff because of his high ceiling. He didn’t go to team camps or combines during the offseason other than Notre Dame’s and was under the radar because of it.
If he had put up these testing numbers at an Under Armour Camp, his offers for football would have exploded.
The Irish are getting someone with elite athleticism who has barely scratched the surface of his ability on the football field and the baseball team is also getting a terrific prospect as well. Logan has the potential to rise significantly up the rankings as a senior and has all of the tools to develop into a starting safety and eventual NFL Draft pick for the Irish.
Jessie Bates (day two pick, second team All-ACC) was another overlooked safety prospect from Fort Wayne who proved to be a hidden game for Wake Forest. Logan has the tools that could see him have a similar type of career at Notre Dame.
