I really think our defensive strategy plays into the hands of Navy. Rather than being aggressive and imposing our will on Navy we play passive and read our assignments rather than attacking the LOS and creating confusion with their scheme. There's no reason Navy shouldn't have multiple fumbles in games with how risky their offensive strategy is.

I disagree. Defense has to give themselves a break. They had a chance to get off the field early with a 3rd and ridiculously long and squandered it with piss poor effort.

Offense needs to focus on scoring.

ND is the one who started that crap. And he is right, since that trucking campaign started, we have been heading straight downhill and here we are tied with Navy at the end of the third quarter. Pathetic.

The Defense held Navy to 10 points in the first half with zero help from the offense. ND should have had 14 to 17 points in the first half..

Watch how we are "trying" to tackle. We are hitting with shoulders without wrapping up or even using our arms. That's certainly not how I remember being taught how to tackle. Looks like a pinball game out there. About 4-15 yards after contact each time

Navy is 4-5 on 4th down plays. That is why they have had TOP of 29 to our 12 or so.

Keeping contain on the pitch has nothing to do with speed. It's about execution and not allowing the blocker to pin you inside.

Defense looks really slow this half. Let's see this amazing new S&C program in action. We may only get one more possession. And have to hope they can somehow stop one of Navy's.

The tackling is on the players, no coach teach's not to wrap up... these kids are playing soft and lazy
